TOP 5 HANGOVER SKINCARE SAVIOURS

After a night out on the lash your skin the following morning tends to be dehydrated which leaves the skin feeling dry and dull. From personal experience I know I have this feeling on a regular occurrence (I'm a student okay!). So here are five products that totally combat your hungover skin. And yes, I will be doing this tonight!

Dirty Works - Detox Mask
This product is literally a life saver. Whenever i'm suffering from a break out or just having a bad skin patch I go to this product without fail. After leaving it on your freshly cleansed face you feel like you have grown a new layer of skin on your face, pores are minimised and you really have that clean sensation. Best of all, it's cheap and available at Sainsbury's! I know Dirty Works have a range of other products that are created to fit all skin types. I actually use their hot cloth cleanser on a daily basis which i can also recommend. 

T-Zone - Spot Zapping Gel
Amazing for those pesky spots you have produced over night due to you forgetting to take your make up off. Blob the gel onto your target area and leave to settle on the skin, and over night the spot will be decreased in size, or completely gone! I got this from Poundland so it's very affordable for the job it does.

Superdrug - Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner
If you have read my blog for a long time you will know I have raved about the Body Shop's tea tree range. Unfortunately they ran out so I was on the hunt for a cheaper alternative and found the tea tree skincare range in Superdrug. Although the horrible scent (they've added peppermint to it, alongside tea tree?!) it works just as well as the body shop toner and I love to use this after a good cleanse to target any spots that are appearing.  

Garnier - Moisture Match (dry to very dry skin)
BEST PRODUCT EVER. It has completely transformed my skin and completely banished my dry skin. I have also raved about this for years and I still haven't found anything better than this. Boots always have an offer on this cream and I force you to go out and buy it and watch your skin change for the good.

Poundland - Argan Oil Night Repair Serum
So, I heard sooo much about serums over the past year and really wanted to incorporate one into my skincare routine, but the general price of them is rather expensive. I didn't want to fork £20 out of my loan for a product that I probably won't end up using. I have been a fan of the Poundland argan oil products for over a year now and I noticed they brought out a face oil..and obviously I bought it..loved it and bought 4 spares! I love it!! Plumper, healthy skin and I even have an even skin tone after years of suffering with patchy skin from scarred spots. Definitely try this if you can get your hands on it!

JUNE/JULY FAVOURITES

I may or may not have forgotten to do a June favourites post..however, I thought i'd combine the two because i've been loving the same things over the past two months. Since i've been home for summer I've been working (hooray ££££)which has enabled me to hit the shops more often that normal. For a while i've been wanting to switch up my style a little (fashion, make-up, hair, and all that jazz), so here are some of my favourites. All products will be linked if they're still available. 

PINEAPPLE PRINT IPHONE 5 SHELL CASE / TOPSHOP £8.00

It does exactly what it says on the tin..a phone case. But I've been seeing a lot of pineapple print accessories around at the moment and this phone case caught my eye. At first I was a bit skeptical thinking that the case wouldn't stay white for very long due to constant use but the case is actually patent, so any dirt you can just wipe away. I wouldn't normally spend so much on a phone case but I actually had a voucher to use, but I just want to say if I bought the case full price i'd be very disappointed..within a week the paint had started to chip and the edges of the case around the phone became rough.

If you know me personally you will know how much I love One Direction. I was so excited to go to my home city and see them for the third time. After queuing for a total on 10 hours we managed to be about two rows from the front, we had an amaaazing view. Even though I could barely walk after the concert was over, it was totally worth it. They never fail to put on a brilliant show. And we also got to see the support act; 5 Seconds Of Summer, win.

I FINALLY HAVE A NEW PHONE, goodbye crappy iPhone 4 camera. This had to be in my favourites. But yeah, new phone!

SILVER LAYER RINGS / FOREVER 21 £6.00

For a while i've been trying to find some pretty, silver layering ring that will match my silver watch. I found a set of three detailed rings in Forever 21; one was feather, another was a turquoise gem stone ring and the last one was a simple patterned ring. Perfect for everyday wear, I really suggest taking a look at the jewellery in there! (couldn't find the link to the exact rings!)

MAC CREMESHEEN LIPSTICK / PEACH BLOSSOM £15.50

My first ever Mac lipstick, how long has it taken me? I wanted a brownie/pinky nude colour as I think that's what my skin and hair suits best. It's nothing too in your face which is what I liked, and the shine isn't as intense as a lipgloss. The colour payoff is wonderful and looks amazing with a tan!

STRIPED DAISY ORGANZA TEE / TOPSHOP £24.00

I have been LOVING stripes..maybe a bit too much. Navy and white stripes are literally everywhere at the moment, and I may have bought every striped top on the high-street at the moment. The crop style tee is perfect for the hot weather we've been having recently, as it's nothing too clingy and actually lets you breathe. I'm a massive fan of the chiffon daisy print around the edging of the top, it just gives it a bit of detail considering it is quite a plain top. 

LOREN DISTRESSED RIP KNEE SKINNY JEANS / BOOHOO £25.00

I cannot stop wearing these. I'm quite fussy when it comes to jeans as a lot don't fit me properly and go baggy around my ankles, but these fit me like a glove. Okay, maybe they're more difficult than normal jeans to put on due to the rips, but they add detail to any simple outfit. I've been loving wearing these with a plain white slouchy t-shirt.  

MUSIC MONDAYS

As you may know we're in the mid-swing of the festival season, and I have been really loving it so far. Even though I haven't been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to go to a festival this year (sad face) I have been glued to watching bands/artists on TV and the Internet..Which leads me to the girlband HAIM.

HAIM, an American girl-band have been around for a few years and are soon to be introducing their second album and I genuinely cannot wait. The music isn't the stereotypical girl-band music, their genre is pop-rockish and frequently compared to Fleetwood Mac; their sound has been described as "nu-folk-meets-nineties-R&B". 

The band consists of sisters Este Arielle (the one with all the faces..), Danielle Sari (lead vocalist) and Alana Mychal Haim (baby haim) along with drummer Dash Hutton. The song I have chosen for this weeks edit is If I Could Change Your Mind; just a reaaaally catchy song in all honesty. I really suggest you take a listen to them if you haven't before, because I guarentee they will be on your iPod in no time.

TANTILISING AND TEXTURED

If you know me well you will know I like to keep it safe when it comes to summertime fashion. I'm more of a winter kind of gal.I usually keep well away from patterns as i'm scared about matching patterns with my skin tone and hair colour, as i'm quite fair.  But I have to give it to Missguided, some of their pieces having really inspired me to introduce some colour into my wardrobe instead of repurchasing every black, white or navy thing I can find.  

Here are 4 pieces that I have been really loving and are perfect for this time of year (the jacket for the UK bipolar weather). Thee four pieces are a lovely way to introduce vibrance and texture to your wardrobe.

Vanessa Mint Tailored Coat
A statement piece that will make any lifeless outfit stand out. They are seen on the high street a lot at the moment but this has to be one of my favourites i've seen. You can also get this in black.

Shawnta Tropical Spaghetti Strap Mini Dress
Even though I know this wouldn't go well with my skin colour I know it would be a beautiful piece for being on holiday and throwing something on over a bikini or dressing it up for the evening time.

Kinga Tribal Shift Dress

This piece is probably the most adventurous i've seen and actually liked. The shift dress style allows the print to do all the talking - nothing too over powering so perfect for those casual summer BBQ's.

Dorida Neon Crochet Shell Top

I absolutely adore this top, so simple but a lovely way of introducing a neon colour into your wardrobe. The nude crochet pattern allows the neon to be toned down so it's not too in your face. Again perfect for just throwing over your bikini or dressing it up for the evening with a maxi skirt.

THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE COLLECTION

In all honesty I hadn't heard much about the Tea Tree skin care range from The Body Shop. I thought all tea tree products were the same but just had a different label, from Superdrug to The Body Shop. 

I received the skincare set for christmas and decided to give it a whirl around March time when I ran out of the majority of my skincare products. To start with I was very sceptical due to the fact I have dry skin and previous drugstore tea tree products has caused redness and mild irritation to my skin. But within a week of using The Body Shop products I was surprised I hadn't seen a blotch of redness and my spots and scarring had faded..in a week! 4 months on and my skin has completely changed, i'm noticing my skin is changing so much, it's gone to combination to oily instead of dry (whether that's due to the weather in this country improving?!)and i'm hardly having any breakouts at all. Breakouts have always been a problem in my life, I never used to go through a week without finding a new spot on my face, but these products have changed this completely and are now a part of my daily skincare routine. So how to I use these products?

Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser

Every night once I have taken my make up off completely I go into the shower and put two pumps of the foam into my hands. I rub my hands together and massage it into wet skin. After being settled on my face for around a minute I grab my small exfoliating pad and start massaging the two together (link to the eBay exfoliating pad). I rinse off the product with tepid water and carry on with my shower routine. I find after having a shower my skin feels so refreshed, soft and completely bare..you don't want to be sleeping in any make up residue on your skin!

Skin Clearing Toner

It does what it exactly says on the tin, a toner. As soon as my face is dry from my shower, I grab a cotton pad and put around three drops onto the pad and just wipe my face very gently. It has a lovely cooling sensation and also will remove any left over make up (if there is any). I waft my face dry and let the toner sink into my skin.

Skin Clearing Lotion

The final step I take is applying the tea tree gel to my face. I wait until the toner has completely settled into my skin and put a pea size amount of the lotion onto my hand and massage into my skin. Again it leaves a lovely cooling sensation on your skin once your skincare regime has finished. (I will also apply this on main areas of a breakout on my face just so I don't completely dry my skin out). And you should be left with a soft and fresh feeling to your face, perfect before bed time.

I really recommend this range, I will 110% repurchase these products once they have finished because I know it helps my skin so much! I know they have other products under their collection which I really want to try out.

GOLDEN SMOKED EYE Ft. NOUVEAU LASHES & ULTRA BOND LASH ADHESIVE

On a day to day basis I tend to reach towards a simple smokey eye that will make my bluey/green eyes stand out and mix well with my blonde hair. Golden colours are perfect for spring and summer whether you're creating a simple, not too obvious eye look for the day, or mix it up with some false lashes for night time.

How did I achieve this look?
It's pretty simple, as I don't like to spend too much time doing my eye makeup as I take too much care and time on my foundation and contour routine. All you need to create this look:

MUA Palette in Heaven and Earth
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Maybelline Gel Liner
Nouveau Lashes - Collection 1*
Ultra Bond Lash Adhesive*

To start off I combined the two lightest shades from the palette and placed all over my lid using a flat eyeshadow brush, concentrating mainly on the inner corner to middle part of my eye. I then went for a light brown shade from the palette just to start outlining the crease using a fluffy blending brush. I gradually started applying darker tones of brown until everything was seamless and blended. To add some extra detail to the look I knew I wanted to apply some false lashes to finish the look off. Because of this I applied a thin line of gel liner across my top lash line with a teeny flick (lets face it, i'm not the best at applying gel eyeliner!)to make the lashes blend in to give a more natural look.

Normally the thought of applying false lashes sends shivers down my spine. The numerous times i've created a really lovely eye look and then completely ruined it by having finger prints in my eyeshadow from trying to keep the lashes stuck down, nightmare. The other day I took the plunge and decided to apply the collection 1 lashes from Nouveau Lashes combined with the Ultra Bond Lash Adhesive, which were both very kindly sent to me. I applied the adhesive and waited until it was tacky on the lashes (I placed extra glue on the ends as they're usually the areas which lashes tend to pull away from), I then took some tweezers and very gently but the lashes on my lash line. With a few adjustments and no fingers used, the lashes were stuck down! I was SO impressed, as that's never happened to me before when applying BOTH pairs of lashes. The two products work really well together to give a natural, subtle eye look that is so quick to do. 

The golden smoked eye works so well with the Nouveau Lashes. The lashes claimed to be "Nothing too heavy, just a soft, sophisticated and seductive lift for your eyes" which I one hundred million percent agree with. I applied the lashes on Tuesday morning and were still firmly intact on my lash line come Monday evening. After applying them you can barely feel that they're on your eyes and mainly you don't look like you've got spiders on your eyes. MUSIC MONDAYS

This weeks song is from the up and coming, Aussie band 5 Seconds Of Summer. Their career has completely blown up from them posting covers of songs on YouTube 3 years ago, to having a number one hit in the UK (and number 2 as of yesterday). The majority of their fans were introduced to the band when they supported One Direction on their Take Me Home Tour in 2013, they they supported One Direction's Where We Are Tour in the UK earlier this year. Even though the band age ranges from 19-17 they capture the punk-rock with a hint of pop very well. And they're all exceptionally good looking, bonus. 

The song I have chosen this week is from their album which is actually being released here in the UK on the 30th June 2014. Amnesia was one of the songs the band played in the line up for support act of the Where We Are Tour, and I was hooked instantly. If you haven't already make sure you take a listen to their other songs and also pre-order their album.

SUMMER

It's finally Summer(hooray), after, well.. a hard year of partying and catching up with work that I may have fallen behind in due to being too hungover to peel myself from my sheets and go into University. Anyway, I'm back! I found it too difficult to incorporate blogging into my first year Uni lifestyle, it was nonstop consuming Tesco value vodka, sleeping or being in lesson. 

I want to dedicate my Summer to my blog as (you can probably tell) it was feeling rather unloved and outdated, so the plan is to post as much as I can about any nonsense that comes to my bonkers mind. If any of you have any ideas of what posts I could include please please please comment below!

As you may have noticed by blog has had a kind of lick of paint, you might say. This is thanks to the amazing Han Valentine, who literally spent the majority of her day helping me re-vamp my blog and making it more appealing, because lets face it my blogger design skills weren't that great. Personally I think she's done a fantastic job and I am so pleased with it. Because she did such a good job I think you guys should go and check out her blog (and instagram because I love a good nosey).

FINAL TERM OF MY FIRST YEAR AT UNI

Aloha!
I thought i'd do a bit of a different post for you all..well a more rambley post. Tomorrow I go back to Universirty for my third and final term of first year. I can't really believe how fast it's gone. I know people always say "it's the best time of your life and those three years fly by" but I thought they were just saying it. I will do another post later in the year after my course has finished (and I hopefully move on to be a second year haha) just talking about leaving home etc and basically being a fresher.

University has changed me completely, I mean going out twice a week, cooking for myself, even getting a train on my own! It's matured me for the better as i've always been comfortable where i've been but knew I wanted something more than staying in my own little bubble for the rest of my life.

I always get mixed feelings going back to uni after 3 or 4 weeks off..or even a weekend for that matter. Uni life and home life are completely different and even though I LOVE uni I really do dislike the contrast. I mean, you have to make your own cups of tea at uni :-(. I always have a little cry saying bye to my parents, brother and dog but within half an hour i'm back to my uni self; wanting to drink excess amounts of Tesco Value vodka..student life.

MUSIC MONDAYS

It's that time of the week again; Music Mondays. Featuring the recent song/album I have been enjoying this week. And this week I have rekindled my love for Imagine Dragons. An American based band who are just excellent, and I would do anything to see them live. The song in particular chosen from their album Night Visions, even though I enjoy all of their songs on this album my favourite currently is Amsterdam. I highly recommend you buying this album (it's been out for a while so i'm sure it won't be too expensive). Hope you all have a happy monday :-)

It's that time of year again when I never know how to contrast my wardrobe from winter to spring, because well let's face it British weather is so unpredictable and can be sunny one minute and the next it's raining. 

Dress
I was leisurely browsing Instagram when I came across a striped dress a girl was wearing, being the nosey girl that I am, I asked her where she got it from and she said Topshop. Looking at the Topshop website it was way over-priced for an everyday kind of dress so I took to New Look - I have been so impressed with their new collections, they've definitely improved! In the adult section of New Look they had a dress that is very similar to the one above but they didn't have my size..typical! But a few months back I bought a t-shirt from the teen section of the shop, and I remember the top bought in size 12-13 years fit me perfectly (me being a size 8). So I came across the dress above in the teen section online and thought "what the heck" and bought it for the amazing price of just £14.99. It fits like a glove, on the arms, neck and across the stomach. Just one thing I would say is that I wear a bodycon skirt underneath because the dress is fit for a 12 year old not a twenty year old.

Necklace
Statement necklaces are definitely my new obsession, as they can liven up a boring/plain outfit. Topshop are known for their statement pieces but as being a student, they're just not in my price range and I find myself thinking "I could have 2 nights out instead of getting that necklace"...(student logic). Primark have really been excelling in their statement jewellery recently, and for great prices! This is a gold plated necklace attached on two white p-leather rope style bands. A very simple but lovely piece to add to a simple sweater, or dress like I have done. So keep an eye on the Primark necklace stands as you'll come across some really good finds.

Tights
Well we all know tights are tights, but adding some extra detail into the outfit I paired the dress with some black woollen tights from Primark. You could also wear the famous "super cosy" tights but mine are a bit too loved and shouldn't be worn in public, a re-purchase is definitely on the cards.

Today I am feeling like I need some motivation in my life to get this darn essay done before I return back to University in 2 weeks. Over the weekend I came to the realisation it is only less than 2 months away until I see One Direction (for the third time may I add) at the Etihad Stadium! I decided to listen to my whole 83 song playlist of all their music and came across this little gem. It is a really feel good song that can switch up your mood instantly with just 1 listen.

SixPlus BRUSH SET REVIEW

I'm back..yes I know what you're all thinking "you've taken another break?!" I've had a very difficult few months due to experiencing a bereavement of a very close family member, so I haven't been in the right frame of mind to do blog posts for you, as I want my passion to come across in what i'm writing and mean it.

Anyway, I'm back now and I have a very exciting post for you, Colourfulonline.com contacted me asking if I was willing to give a review on any of their products, and of course I was thrilled with the offer as it's lovely to hear that my opinion matter, I took into consideration of what my make up collection was lacking, because as well as giving you guys feedback I actually wanted to use the product for myself. I ended up choosing the New SixPlus 12pcs Makeup Brush Set, because to me just by looking at the images the brushes are useful for various things which is normally very hard to find, especially when buying a pack of brushes! The blue set stood out to me rather than the pink colour (personal preference) as seen below.

The blue leather case is made at a high standard and it stands up by itself and is made from sturdy material, so you know it will protect your brushes if you're travelling. As far as the brushes go I am beyond impressed by them, they have completely and utterly improved my application of make up, it just goes to show that the tools are key!! I am aware Sigma and MAC do a very similar version to this range of brushes but coming from a girl who has sworn by MAC brushes, I wish I had found the SixPlus makeup set a long time ago. Five bushes in particular have become a staple tool when applying my make up which include: 1= Contouring brush, 2 = Blending brush, 3 = Gel eyeliner brush, 4 = Eye shadow applicator and 5 = Powder brush. Also I just want to say I experienced NO fallout with these brushes what-so-ever, even when they were washed they are still up to the high standard that they were when they arrived.

Brush 1. (#168  Large Angled Contour Brush)
Before this brush was welcomed into my collection I never felt the need for a contoring brush as I thought the brushes I already owned were working fine, but let me just say that I've not gone one day without using the brush since the arrival! Even though the brush noticeably goes a bit orange toned after once use it shows that the brush is picking up the product and you can tell when the brush needs a jolly good wash. Out of all of the brushes this is one of my most favourite.

Brush 2. (#275  Medium Angled Shading Brush)
This is the style of brush that I have been wanting in my collection for a lifetime but never knew what brush to buy, this is the perfect brush to define the crease on your eyelid, it allows the colour to be blended evenly and lightly if pressed lightly, I again use this brush on a daily basis.

Brush 3. (#209  Eye Liner Brush)
Even though I already had an eyeliner brush in my collection this brush allows you to really define the shape of your eye neatly wether you are using gel eyeliner or using powder, it just works. The brush is quite stiff but soft to touch which definitely makes the application a lot more easier, as well as the short bristles of the brush hair. 

Brush 4. (#214  Short Shader Brush)
This makes application of eyeshadow so much more easier than any brush I have used before, it doesn't suck up all the product and leave hardly any pigment on your eyes what-so-ever! It applies the powdered eye shadow evenly and very pigmented, just how it looks in the pan. This brush can also be used to blend out colours especially when using dark colours due to the stiffness of the brush it allows you to control where the colour is actually being applied to on the eye.

Brush 5. (#134  Large Powder/Blush Brush)
Everyone needs this brush in their lives, it just has so many uses! I don't really like to limit this brush to specific uses because it's just fantastic for various things including, blending out your bronzer to cancel out any harsh lines, a light dust of bronzer, powder application or even blush! It's just fab, and huge!! 

Finally I would just like to say these brushes are incredible for just the price of $28.49 (£18.29) which also includes shipping from China!! As far as delivery goes, the speed was very good as I know from when buying products online from China they normally take a good while to arrive but not in this case.

SunGoddess.com REVIEW

I am so excited to do this review for you today! SunGoddess.com very kindly sent me a package a week ago so I could review their sunless fake tan. Before using the product I made sure I read and followed the instructions on the bottle which was to have a shower, clean and exfoliate skin which will make the tan last longer. I also moisturised my elbows, knees and my neck, which prevents an uneven skin tone. After doing that I then applied one pump of the tan onto the gloves that were provided in the pocket attached to the bottle (I found it great how they provided gloves as well as them being black so you can use them over again without noticing brown stains on the glove.) I applied two pumps for my legs, one for my arms, one for my stomach and back area and half for my neck, face and chest. I only applied a small amount as I don't normally go for a dark tan as I am rather fair skinned so I didn't want to go OTT. 

After you have applied the fake tan, wait for a minimum of 3 hours before having a shower and washing the excess product off. I prefer to leave mine to process over night, I sleep on white sheets and no tan was transferred at all which is great! When I woke up the next morning I was so surprised to wake up to an amazing smell, it's not like any other fake tanning smells like St Moriz which smells very biscuit like, this smells amazing! I looked in the mirror and had a lovely glow, it wasn't in any way orange..it was brown!! Hallelujah, a fake tan that actually makes you look tanned not like a Dorito. The tan wasn't too even when I looked all over but that soon changed after I had a shower and cleaned the excess tan off. 

I was a bit sceptical about the tan lasting over 10 days, and in fact I found the tan didn't last as long as 10 days but 5 days. This doesn't bother me as the tan itself is so quick and easy to apply that it's actually enjoyable to use. Another thing that I would maybe improve is actually the bottle, I find for travel purposes this just wouldn't work as there is no lid for the bottle so the fake tan would leak if put in a suitcase or bag, and the label on the bottle easily peals away so is impossible to read when chipped. Those things don't bother me in the slightest as I care more about how amazing the tan is and how much they NEED to bring this fake tan to the United Kingdom, it's amazing!! So girls or even guys, you really do need to try this product out it is fabulous.

MUA EYESHADOW PALETTE "Heaven And Earth"

For a while now I have been asked what I use as eyeshadow, and I am really excited to do this post for you today. So a little background info on my experiences with eyeshadows, I have never really been into eyeshadows since Summer 2011 I began to gain a massive interest in watching girls on YouTube how they do their make up, but a lot of people go for the more expensive products which I thought wasn't suitable when buying my first palette. After passing my A Levels my parents bought me a range of make up products from Benefit, I received the "Big Beautiful Eyes" set, which as a starter was amazing.  But I wanted a palette with a diverse range of colours, so I took to Superdrug where I found the new collection that Superdrug added to their store "MUA - Make Up Academy" their make up is completely affordable to everyone and that is what drew me in. And in the corner of my eye I spotted the Heaven and Earth palette and from that day I have fallen in love with this palette. 

Being fair skinned and blue eyed it is best to go for more earthy tones when applying eyeshadow as you may not want to go for the more gothic approach. This specific palette ranges in different shades of browns, which is perfect! Dare I say it I prefer this to my Benefit eyeshadow set. The colours are amazing when it comes to switching from day time to evening time - just simply make the colours bolder! I use this every single day now and I really do not know what I would do without it. The pigments are perfect and last throughout the day when used with an eye primer or normal facial primer. 

The colours I use to create my daily muted-smokey eye are:

the first colour in the palette on the top row - This is perfect for using on the lid next to your nose, it completely brightens up the eye with a shimmery effect. Then I work into the crease of my eye, I tend to switch the colours up each day, depending on my mood, using a lighter tone of brown to blend in with the first colour and then using an even darker colour to define the smokey eye, and sometimes when I am going for a more dramatic look I use the darkest brown across my lash line, I find this better than using eyeliner, because the powder lasts longer on my lid. 

If you are looking for a new palette you NEED to buy this or just try it out, I think it's better than the high end products that I have experimented with over the years, and a palette that is this amazing only costs £4.00!! I will definitely repurchase this over and over again until another palette can live up to this standard.

WINTER NAILS

In my last post I got asked what my favourite nail polish was and I wanted to give a more in detail description of my no.1 winter nail polish. I adore this colour so much, in different lighting it looks completely different which I personally love. I bought this polish at Superdrug in November 2011 and it is still going. I think this colour looks best worn in winter time, but I admit to wearing it in Summer. This colour last year was very popular on clothing, and being fair skinned I was so happy that the colour actually suited me as some shades of red can completely wash me out.

As well as the gorgeous colouring the application is so easy but if you don't use a basecoat it will stain your nail a pinky tone when it comes to removing the polish. The polish when applied and dried onto the nail is mediocre, its not rubbish but not amazing. I think for the small price of just over £2.00 it is perfect but if the polish was more expensive I definitely wouldn't repurchase, like the Topshop nail varnish range..this is a bit too over priced when the varnish chips literally as soon as you've applied it. Barry M are known for being sold in drugstores and many females in the UK have a Barry M nail product or make up product that they have bought. 

A little random post but I adore this colour and it has lasted me over a year. I hope this shade is still available because I will most definitely repurchase this once this polish has ran out.

This evening I took to Instagram and decided to ask my followers if they have any questions for me, beauty related or general questions. Plus I love my Instagram followers and I feel as if my Instagram and Blog followers don't know me too well so this is a perfect opportunity for me to answer your questions.

1. How tall are you?

2. What is your all time favourite make up brand and why?
I don't really have a main brand that I go for, I tend to switch up my make up with high end products as well as drugstore make up. I don't like it when people automatically think make up from a drugstore is automatically terrible because it is so cheap, it's not always the case. (Asked by @sophbxoxo)

3. How do you have such nice skin?
I'm so surprised by this question because i've always had trouble with my skin since the age of about 13. I have learnt to control my breakouts with cleansing my skin twice a day and also moisturising, it's surprising that giving your skin moisture can actually prevent spots. I am also on some vitamins that are catered for Hair, Skin and Nails. It basically make this trio much more healthier without being on a diet. But also drinking water regularly and eating fruit helps a lot (I can't say I do this). And finally I am really self conscious about my skin so I tend to buy full coverage foundation and apply at least two cancellers on the problematic parts of skin on my face. 4. What are your favourite blogs?
As I am recently knew to using blogger I mainly use YouTube blogs, as I find them much more helpful and basically more fun that reading heaps of writing, I'm just not confident enough to post video's of myself on YouTube. 5. What do you do for a living?
I am currently studying a foundation degree in Illustration. I have done my A Levels and going to University in September. I also have a part time job at a weekend. (Asked by @fatema_habib)

6. Do you have a fitness regime?
As lazy as it sounds..no(eek) I literally have no time to do fitness, I have such a busy schedule and only have one day off a week, which I end up doing my college work on. The fitness I do which is in my daily routine is walking to and from the bus stop..sounds pathetic but I live 20 minutes away from my bus stop so I get a 40 minute walk daily. Also the job I have means I am on my feet for a full 7 hours and constant running around, which im sure helps? I am so unfit haha. (Asked by @georgiacinnamon)

7. Favourite song?
If you don't know already I am a huge One Direction fan and have been since 2010 so I am loving their new album, so I think my favourite song from their album is either Irresistible and Kiss You. (Asked by @rosylayers)

8. Favourite perfume?
I'm rather boring with perfume and regularly forget to put it on before I leave the house but my two main scents that I adore are Lady Million by Paco Rabanne and Nina by Nina Ricci. (Asked by @uw0tmate)

9. What's your favourite nail varnish colour and brand?
I'm a fan of buying cheap nail varnishes and not spending over £6.00 on them. I am loving this winter Barry M's nail varnish in the shade Raspberry. I loved it last year and this year also. (Asked by @catiemcmahon_)

10. What's your favourite foundation?
I am loving the Studio Fix Fluid by MAC this winter, this coverage is amazing and I don't have to apply concealer with this foundation which is a winner! Yes it is rather pricey for a foundation but in my eyes it is so totally worth it and of course trying out! (Asked by @Bubbly_Briony)

HELLO 2013

Happy 2013 everyone! Apologies for not blogging in the past week..the first week back to college is always tiring. Any-who I am now back with a post on how I prep my skin every morning when I wake up before adding my make up.

I have been loving Nivea's skin products this year, they're perfect if you're suffering from dry skin and need extra moisture. I used to always purchase the Simple skin products as I thought they worked wonders until I found the Nivea range.

So here goes, I will be talking about each product from left to right.

2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner 

First of all I want to say I have fallen in love with this product! I know Cleansers and Toners are normally in a liquid form but the liquid based formulas dry my skin out a lot, I still wanted to use a cleanser as it is the only product that properly clean your skin and remove any excess make up left on your face or just a general freshen up in the morning before applying make up, so I knew I had to find a product that would cleanse and also moisturise my skin. Not only is this product amazing, the price tag also makes it so much better! It's affordable and has lasted me since August 2012 and still has a lot of product still left inside.  I use this product in the morning, rubbing the product into my skin and remove it with two cotton pads in a circle like motion.

Express Hydration Primer
After finishing my Rimmel primer I wanted to try the Nivea formula as all of the other products by Nivea have worked wonders on my skin. I am not 100% convinced with this primer, I find it doesn't make my make up last as long as the Rimmel primer did. The advantage is obviously the price..but I think there are definitely better primers out there with a more effective formula. I'm not saying this product won't work for you, everybody has a different skin type and it may suit your skin perfectly. I apply the primer after I have cleansed and moisturised. After applying I wait for 5 minutes before starting to apply my make up, just so all the products have sunk into my skin.

Rich Moisturising Day Cream
I have only been using this product for a short while after moving on from the Simple moisturiser. It's definitely a rich moisturiser and benefits my skin. It basically says what it is on the tin. The downside to this moisturiser is the size, I have a feeling this bottle won't last me a very long time other than the Simple moisturisers. I apply this after i've cleansed my skin and thoroughly rub in the product over my face and mid neck area.

Original Vaseline
I swear by this product, if I was stranded on a desert island this would be one of my choices to bring with me for sure! If you're suffering from a patch of flaky skin on your face, definitely use this! I sometimes but a small amount of my face before bed and wake up in the morning with fully moisturised skin. I use this after I have cleansed, moisturised and primed..just so i don't get foundation lips (YUCK)
